Datawiza, the leading cloud-native access proxy for application security, today announced a new integration with Microsoft 365 that enables enterprises to implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) for mission-critical Oracle business applications. By creating a secure, code-free bridge between Oracle applications and Microsoft 365, Datawiza’s cloud-native proxy enables Microsoft 365 customers to quickly leverage the power of Microsoft’s modern Identity and Access (IAM) solution, Azure Active Directory, extensible for Peoplesoft, Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards (JDE) and Siebel – in minutes.
“Thousands of companies today use business applications that do not always support modern security protocols,” said Dr. Canming Jiang, co-founder, and CEO of Datawiza. “Business councils demand immediate action to eliminate vulnerabilities, but replacing mission-critical applications such as Peoplesoft, E-Business Suite, JDE and Siebel will require significant time and expense. Our cloud-native proxy helps organizations scale their investment in these solutions by enabling modern features like MFA and single sign-on in less than five minutes, allowing them to quickly respond to new security requirements such as needing insurance requirements security or access to zero-trust applications.
Multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer to application access, requiring users to prove their identity with more than just a username and password. When a user logs into an app, the system requests a second authentication, such as scanning a fingerprint or entering a code received from a smartphone. MFA is integrated with Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, but relies on modern security protocols such as SAML or OIDC, which Oracle and other legacy applications do not support.
The lightweight, cloud-delivered Datawiza platform offers ultra-lightweight, cloud-native, container-based proxies close to the applications they protect. Datawiza’s cloud-native proxy is deployed in front of the app to bridge the gap between apps and Microsoft 365. Datawiza can be deployed and configured within minutes and start using MFA, single sign-on (SSO), and conditional sign-on to access any application, from Oracle applications to on-premises and open-source tools.
