HCL Tech to enlarge operations in the UK by employing 1,000 people

IT services company HCL Technologies Ltd said it was expanding into the UK, hiring 1,000 technology professionals to support its customers in the UK and around the world.

The company plans to hire these professionals in digital transformation, cloud, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity for its offices in London, Greater London, and Manchester.

HCL has been in the UK since 1997 and currently employs more than 3,500 people at various locations in the UK and serves more than 50 customers.

In a virtual meeting with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, HCL CEO C Vijayakumar reiterated the company’s commitment to the UK and highlighted HCL’s successful partnerships with many of the UK’s largest companies to help them on their journey to growth and transformation.

The UK has played a key role in the growth and success of HCL for more than two decades. It houses some of our most sought-after customers and a focal point for IT talent. By creating new local jobs in the region, we want to reaffirm our commitment to driving innovation and creating competitive digital talent pools in the region, ”said Vijayakumar.
