APRIL 21, 2022
In 2021, Brussels took the first steps to regulate the continent’s most innovative AI technology with an ambitious legislative package. And the claims are out: For some, it shouldn’t open the door to stifling innovation. For others, it is not enough to stop the risky or unethical use of AI. A year later, and with legislative training in full swing, where are global policymakers, technology leaders, and civil society representatives in the conversation?
This comes as debates continue on key pieces of legislation such as the Data Protection Act and the Digital Services Act (DSA), data protection and international cooperation on AI development, and how to best exploit the potential of AI as diverse as IT security, healthcare, and gaming.
These and other topics will be explored at POLITICO’s AI & Technology Summit, which will take place on April 21, 2022, in Brussels and online. Bringing together key players in AI and technology development from around the world, you don’t want to miss it. a place for these thought-provoking discussions.
